✨This story is meant for a reflection. ✨
Matoose’s morning rhythm was a mixture of Bournvita, boiled eggs, and surface-reading a bulky KJV Bible she was gifted. Next, she would transition into her home office, preparing her workspace and setting her mind to productivity. From the moment she said “yes” to Jesus, this became her daily workday vibe.

One morning, her Pastor called to ask her why she had not been to Bible Study in a while. After some encouragement and prayer, Pastor Joel asked, ” Matoose, what is God speaking to you about today?”
Right there, every one of her clever clapbacks fled, and she was alone and speechless. Pastor Joel’s question made her realise that she was not reading the Word with understanding. She barely remembered what she had speed-read that morning.
After work that day, she committed herself to putting in more effort. She utilized every available biblical digital resource. She moved over to The Easy Version and got a more transparent and easier understanding of what the Lord was revealing.
With a notebook in hand, she began her journey- and the Concordance became her unexpected guide.
Her schedule remained the same, but the Scriptures were coming for her edges and her excuses.
✨Encouragement for you, Sis: 2 Timothy 2:15 is an instruction. The Word gives us sustenance, John 6:51, 1 Peter 2:2, Deuteronomy 8:3. Just like food, we have to “eat” (study) the Word, and not only “smell” (skim) it, because it’s the consuming that brings the nourishment. Let this “eating” metaphor work for us.
