Quetzali adjusted the hem of her dress as she reached the church’s stairs. her heart fluttering like the bird her name evoked. She had almost stayed home – almost let the silence of her living room replace the sound of the sanctuary. But came the text: “Come with us.”
And so she went.

Each step felt like a choice to belong, to be seen, to rejoice. By the time she reached the doors, her spirit was already singing the psalmist’s words: “I rejoiced with those who said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’” (Psalm 122:1)
Inside, the air was alive with voices rising together. Quetzali realized that her name was not just a reminder of beauty – it was a call to bloom in the community. Flowers do not flourish in isolation; they thrive in gardens. And so it is with believers.
