Oholibah didn’t walk into the boardroom — she tiptoed in, praying no one would notice the shakiness in her spirit. Across the polished table sat people with decades of experience, degrees stacked like library shelves, and confidence thick enough to spread on toast.
And then there was her.
New. Young. Fresh out of orientation.
Trying not to drop her pen.
When her name was called, something inside her shrank.
“Why me?”
“I’m not ready.”
“They’re expecting brilliance… I’m expecting survival.”
But right as fear tried to finish its speech, God interrupted with Scripture.
Jeremiah 1:7 rose up in her like a backbone straightening:
“Do not say, ‘I am only a youth.’ You must go to everyone I send you.”
It didn’t sound like a suggestion.
It sounded like an assignment.
And suddenly, Oholibah realized:
She wasn’t sitting at that table because she was qualified —
She was sitting there because God signed her in.
She took a breath — not a deep one, just enough — and stood.
Not because she felt bold,
but because obedience has a way of pulling you up from your chair.
Her voice shook at first, but grace steadied it.
Her hands trembled at first, but purpose locked them in place.
By the time she finished speaking, the room was still.
Not confused.
Not unimpressed.
Stunned.
They didn’t see a rookie.
They saw a woman who had clearly been sent.
Because God doesn’t need your résumé to open a room.
He doesn’t need your experience to validate your calling.
He needs your “yes” —
And He’ll take care of the rest.
When God appoints you, no one can deny you.
When God sends you, no one can stop you.
And when God speaks through you,
even the seasoned sit up and listen.
✨ Truth Revealed
God doesn’t wait for you to feel ready before He sends you.
He equips as you obey.
✨ Prayer
“Lord, when You call my name, strengthen my ‘yes.’
Send me where You will, and speak through me when I arrive, in the name of Jesus, Amen!”
