COMPROMISE

Amzi and Noa met through a mutual friend. They received an invitation to an evening worship fellowship on a city rooftop. Their eyes locked during a serendipitous prayer circle.

Between prayers and chuckles, these two believers from different worlds discovered that a love rooted in Christ can transcend distance, doubt, and fear. Then the test arrived: Noa did not want to walk away from her career. She had spent years building a nonprofit shelter that gave women a second chance.

Meanwhile, loud warnings surrounded Amzi: “She is definitely not the obedient type, Bro. Walk away now.” Even louder, another voice echoed, “Do not marry Noa. This is a doomed start, Bro.”

Family members chimed in, questioning why he would want to leave his “perfect” job as a technical writer for engineering firms. These firms relied on his mastery in explaining machinery with clarity and translating complex systems into readable manuals and guides.

Amzi wrestled with their words but prayed continuously.

He chose to love. He decided to sacrifice. He took a remote position, knowing it meant less pay but more purpose.

His company announced a new headquarters in the city where Amara lived and closed its physical offices just days after their vows. What once looked like a loss became a divine alignment.

They couldn’t help but smile—God had been working behind the scenes, even when they thought they’d missed it.
