Faceless

This is a story of obedience over recognition.

Scriptures: Proverbs 18:16 (NIV), Colossians 3:23 (NIV)

While embracing the role of a stay-at-home mom with her baby girl, Monnee continued to reflect on the deeper purpose God had for her in this season.

One evening, while attending a small party, Monnee found herself in a conversation with someone who happened to be a writer whose words had already found their way into the world. Hearing the man talk about writing and impact stirred her up. Monnee thought about her own gift—the way she could read with clarity and bring words to life. She had not felt that spark of motivation in weeks. Her mind drifted to making a difference for early learners.

As anticipation danced in view, hesitation tiptoed in, uninvited. “I’m not a certified teacher; I stay at home all day…” That dream felt like trying to squeeze a sunrise into a teapot.

She found herself reaching to the Lord for His divine clarity. While still in His presence, an idea sprang up. Tutoring. Then, the question echoed in her mind: “How do I even begin?” A new possibility unfolded in her mind: “faceless videos on YouTube.”

So she did. Her gifts, her drive, and a simple device became the launchpad for something extraordinary. A new platform emerged, devoted to helping young learners master phonics. A few weeks in, and heaven had a surprise waiting. Three families saw the gift and moved—they signed up for virtual sessions.

Monnee’s tutoring brought in more income than the certified teaching path ever promised. What began as a leap of faith had turned into a steady stream of provision.
