It’s almost that time of year again! My calendar says ‘back-to-school’ starts in two weeks. Still, for us homeschooling folks, that’s just a fancy way of saying my kitchen table is about to pull triple duty as a STEM lab, an Art studio, and an ELA library as well—fingers crossed that the blessed bar of connection, aka Wi-Fi, is smiling.
Homeschool Day 1: Pinterest perfect 😊. Homeschool Day 2: Side-eyeing GeoGebra’s (and not just the kids). Homeschool Day 3: Scheduling – Prepare for Benchmark Testing and probably more tea. Ha!
Homeschooling is relatable to Proverbs 22:6, which reminds us to: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Between Probability, Estimation, and Graphing, a lot will be learned – and none of it will be in textbooks.
Yet, here’s the beauty: we don’t just teach lessons—we live them 😉. And when quizzes pop up with zero prep, praying John 14:26 helps my scholars remember what was learned. Homeschooling is less Pinterest-perfect; it’s more Proverbs-in-progress.
✨ Food for Thought: Homeschooling isn’t about being perfect—it’s about showing up with love, laughter, and a whole lot of grace. And that, my friend, makes the kitchen table the holiest desk in my house. You can do it! You are more than a conqueror. ✨
