Vienna Vacated the Vanity

Vienna had mastered the art of pretending everything was fine.
Perfect smile. Polished posts. Praise reports that made people clap but left Heaven quiet. She was admired, adored, and applauded — but also exhausted.

Her husband, her church, her circle — they all loved her light but ignored her lamp oil. They wanted her to shine without noticing she was burning out.

Then one evening, during yet another social dinner that felt more like a stage, someone said, “Vienna, you’re such a trophy wife.”
She smiled politely.
But something in her spirit cracked open.

That night, she walked away.
Not from marriage — from performance.
She deleted the filters, canceled the endless events, and sat in silence with her Bible and a blanket, asking, “Who am I when no one’s clapping?”

Heaven’s answer came quietly:
“Still mine. Still beautiful. Still enough.”

Vienna didn’t make a scene; she made space.
And in the space, she finally met the God she’d been singing about.

Sometimes leaving the platform is how you return to your purpose.
